HONEY BADGER TREK OCTOBER 2018

Much loved Australian rugby union great and Channel Ten’s most recent Bachelor, Nick Cummins - aka The Honey Badger - undertook the trek of a lifetime with Australian Kokoda Tours in October 2018.

The Honey Badger trek took place between 1-11 October 2018, teaming up alongside James Brodie from J Train Athletic the trusted Australian Kokoda Tours team and our porters to take on the challenging yet rewarding Kokoda Trail.

The trek raised funds and awareness for the Grass Skirt Project, a local organisation to Papua New Guinea committed to empowering women and girls through sport.

The Honey Badger has represented Australia in rugby on an international stage, having played for both the Australian Sevens team and the Wallabies. He also played Rugby Union for the Western Force in Super Rugby and for the Coca-Cola Red Sparks in the Japanese Top League.

The Honey Badger and James Brodie trained together during the lead up to their Kokoda trek. Every trekker who signs up for an Australian Kokoda Tours trek receives an exclusive eight-week training program to ensure that they are best prepared prior to departure. For those located in the Geelong and Surf Coast regions, group training sessions are available.
