The trekkers were treated to some amazing singing by the porters last night and this morning they were straight back into the creek as they crossed it 1/2 a dozen times for an hour on the way to the base of Imita Ridge. They had a short rest here and then trekked up Imita for an hour and many said this was the toughest climb of the trek. Most needed a well earned rest here before they trekked down Imita Ridge for an hour and then another hour on the way to the village of Goodwater. They had morning had a break at Goodwater and rested before trekking to Dump 66 to read the famous poem the “Fuzzy Wuzzy Angel” penned here by Sapper Bert Beros. Then another hours trek onto there “Goldie River” were they gathered arm in arm and reflected on the past 8 days. Then the last packs on call for the trek as they trekked the last 45 minutes with the last 15 exposed to the weather on the way to the arched at Owers’ Crn.
