DAY 9 - GOODWATER TO OWERS' CORNER

Tuesday 11 November (REMEMBRANCE DAY)

The trekkers were up early and excited for the last hill of the Kokoda track. They trekked the 45-minute hike with the last 15 minutes out in the sun up to Owers’ Corner. They arrived at 0845am and are now enjoying egg & bacon rolls, icy cold OJ and apple juice. They will soon head to Bomana War cemetery for the Remembrance Day service and to pay their respects to the service men and women that lie there. Everyone is very happy to have made it and after the service will head back to the 5-star Hilton hotel and tonight will enjoy a celebration dinner with their guides and porters that helped them over the past 8 days.
