GREEN FEE

GREEN FEE - PNG Green Fee

PNG has introduced a Green Fee, climate levy of K50 payable prior to clearing security after check in. This cannot be paid cash and must be paid via card or internet banking prior to departure.

What is the Green Fee?

The Green Fee is a K50.00 climate levy introduced by the Climate Change and Development Authority (CCDA) for foreign passport holders departing Papua New Guinea (PNG). This is a fee to offset their carbon footprints while in PNG. The fee contributes to strengthen sustainable development programs focusing around eco-tourism and biodiversity conservation programs.
